One Week Old

Smith is one week old!  She is great baby! We are so in love.  She is the happiest when she is outside! Hadley is not jealous and loves her baby sister!

Smith Anne Haltom

Smith Anne was born at 1:59 a.m. on May 20th, 2013. She weighed 7 lbs 9 oz and is perfect! Fefe and Poppa were at the hospital for the middle of the night delivery while Mimi and Poppa kept Hadley. Todd passed out in the middle of the delivery! He ended up with 4 nurses while I finished delivering Baby Smith with the doctor.  A story we will never let me live down.

Baby's Coming - For Real!

Saturday - Todd went to the river to join some guys for guys night. Mom, Dad and I took Hadley to the dog show, hung curtains, went to dinner, ironed clothes, and got some things ready for Baby Smith. Sunday - I went to the grocery store and took Hadley for a stroll .About 2 hours later I was laying down with Hadley in her bed and all of a sudden my water broke! According to Hadley, I pee pee in her bed! Todd and I stayed home for about 1 hour before we headed to the hospital! The surprise element was so fun versus getting induced with Hadley. Just thankful I made it out of the grocery store first!

Smith Ann Haltom was born at 1:00 in the morning on May 20th, 2013.  She weighed 7lbs, 9 oz. and is 19.5 inches.  She is perfect!  We are so blessed!

Baby's Coming!

Waiting a Year -Yeah Right

Well if you remember from a previous post about 3 weeks ago that the doctor told us we needed to wait a year to get pregnant. Well...that's not what the Big Guy had planned for us. We are surprisingly expecting again! Crazy! Looks like Baby #2B will be joining our family the end of May! I do believe Katie is playing a big role on this! Our date is falling within 2 days of the anniversary when Katie went to heaven! Amazing how God has his hands in everything!

Miscarriage

I woke up in the middle of the night last night to passing blood clots. I had prepared myself for the worst. Todd and I called my parents at 2:30 am to come watch Hadley and off to the hospital we went. We ended up having a miscarriage at 16 weeks due to a partial molar pregnancy. This is a very rare condition. I had a D&C that morning. Now I have to get my blood taken once a week for the next year to make sure the tissue does not grow back. We are also told we did not need to get pregnant for a year!  This is a freak thing that happens in like 1 and 1000.  I would be the one! We are ok because the good Lord knew this baby would not be healthy.  We were supposed to find out the gender of the baby the next day so the timing was better than we didn't find out in the gender scan.

We're Moving!

We are so excited that we have found a house! Building was put on hold with Baby #2 coming. Our new home is a one story with 4 bedrooms, a rec room and a pool! Yippee! Looking forward to the summer days and nights with lots of swimming! Let the packing begin! So excited to get out of the 800 square feet we have been in for the past year.  This home is in a great area that will close
